L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest Announces the Launch of their New Forum for New Writers

After months of “tweaking” and getting it just right, Brad Torgersen, forum moderator, announced the launch of the new and improved L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest Forum. The forum is there for new writers to get tips, chat with others in the same circumstances as they are and get advice.
The world’s largest and oldest science fiction and fantasy contest for new writers initially started the forum for its contestants. “Many issues facing the speculative fiction writers are the same issues for writers of other genres, so we realized that we should let it be known that writers in any fiction genre should join up”, Torgersen said.
Brad is perfect as the moderator because he is a Writers of the Future winner who belonged to several forums when he first started out and he knows the benefits forums provide, especially for writers who do not live in large cities that tend to have many writing groups for a new writer to join. Current contestants of the contest already know and use the forum.

Now in its 29th year, the Writers of the Future Contest attracts entries worldwide. Twelve quarterly winners receive prize monies and, along with selected finalists, are published in an annual anthology, L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future (Galaxy Press).
Initiated by multiple New York Times’ best-selling author L. Ron Hubbard, the merit-based Writers of the Future Contest has launched the careers of eight writers who went on to become New York Times bestsellers.
