AUNE’s Experienced Educator MEd program Offers Seven New Concentrations

(PRWEB) August 31, 2011

Working teachers seeking to expand their career options now have seven new Master of Education (MEd) program concentrations to choose from at Antioch University New England (AUNE). The new concentrations suit the busy lives of working teachers: online classes in the fall and spring, and face-to-face classes for one or two weeks in the summer. Information sessions on the program will be held on September 13 and October 13 from 4 to 6 p.m.

“Educators today have busy professional lives,” said Susan Dreyer Leon, director of Experienced Educator programs at AUNE. “Our new concentrations in leading-edge areas can meet the educational needs of these teachers while providing them with the flexibility to fit coursework into their complicated schedules.”

The new concentrations offered by AUNE’s Department of Education, which start in January 2012, are:

Next Generation Learning Using Educational Technology
School Leadership and Administration (Principal Certification). Two tracks are available: the MEd with New Hampshire Principal Certifications, and the Post-Master’s Principal Certification.
Problem-Based Learning Using the Critical Skills Program
Teacher Leadership
Autism Spectrum Disorders
Applied Behavior Analysis
Educating for Sustainability

The Spring 2012 semester begins the first week in January. Rolling admission deadlines apply.
